Joe Pascale

Joe was born and raised in Bristol, Pennsylvania. He lettered in football, basketball and track in high school. He earned a basketball and track scholarship to the University of Miami, Florida. He then transferred to Lock Haven State College and lettered in three sports.
Joe was a starter on the Lock Haven Football Team for two years. During his Sophomore and Junior years in 1963 & 1964, Joe earned 1st Team ALL PSAC as an End. This was when only one team was named for the entire PSAC. He played both ways as an end/receiver on offense and as a defensive back on defense. As a Senior in 1965, Joe missed almost the entire season with an injury. Joe was also a 2-time All-East player at End and 2-time NAIA All-American as an End during the 1964 & 1965 seasons. Joe also returned punts & kickoffs for our Bald Eagles.
Joe also played and lettered in both Basketball & Track and Field at Lock Haven. He led the Basketball Team in scoring and rebounding. At that time, Joe set school records for points in one game and for scoring 30 or more in a season. He also ran track and set school and conference records in the hurdles and 220. Joe had top ten times nationally in the hurdles.
After graduating in 1966, Joe earned a M.Ed. from Bloomsburg State College, an Ed.S. from the University of Virginia, and a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland. Joe coached as an assistant football coach at Bristol High School, Bloomsburg University, University of Maryland and Georgetown University. Joe was the Head Coach at Catholic University and George Mason University. Joe was awarded membership into the Catholic University Hall of Fame as the winningest coach in program history.
Joe has been married to Jill (Unbewust) for 45 years and has three children, two boys and a girl. He presently has five grandsons with another on the way in April. Joe resides in Manassas, Virginia. He is currently working with the Fairfax County Public schools as well as being a board member of the Didlake Corporation, past chairman, and proprietor of The Rohr McHenry Distilling Company.
