David Price’s teammates at Lock Haven describe him as a young man with a with a very warm personality, a perpetual smile, and what seemed like an endless supply of kindness. “Dave was a great trainer at Lock Haven and he carried that on to the USFL, and then the NFL where he worked for several of the top head coaches.”
Dave had three daughters.
Congratulations to David Price, inductee to the Lock Haven University Football Gridiron Greats, class of 2021.
Coach Jack Fisher described Dave as an outstanding player who deserves all of the accolades he ever got. The most outstanding thing Coach Fisher can remember about Dave was his passion for the things he did. He was an outstanding Defensive End. He was an outstanding leader within the vaunted Athletic Training program at LHU. From his first day, Dave elevated quickly through the training program. By his senior year he had arranged an internship with the Philadelphia Eagles. He would leave immediately after practices and games and the Eagles would fly him to and from Lock Haven and the various cities they played in. Coach Fisher also stated that he had concerns about Dave’s mental preparation, but, “Dave never made a mistake. I used to watch him closely during games because there were special things he had to do each week, but he never missed a thing.”
