Meet The Coaches
Dan Mulrooney, Head Coach
Dan Mulrooney was selcted as the new Lock Haven University Football Coach on January 31, 2022. He was formerly the Head Football Coach of Division III Anna Maria College in Paxton, Massachusetts. Under Dan’s leadership, Anna Maria was able to turn a struggling football program into a winning program.
In the years from 2017 -2020 the program had won only 6 games in 5 seasons. In 2021, Dan was able to guide the team to a 7-3 season and the schools first berth in an NCAA Tournament Appearance.
Joe Battaglia
Assistant Coach, Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach
Coach Battaglia Brings a wealth of football experience the The Haven. He previously had coaching assignments at Division 1 Coastal Carolina, Temple and Georgia Tech.
Coach Battaglia brings his expertise in developing elite quarterbacks to the LHU football program.
Nick Voorhees
Assistant Coach, Special Teams – Wide Receivers
Coach Voorhees served on Coach Mulrooney’s staff at Anna Maria College from 2019 -2021.
Coach Voorhees will continue to focus his efforts on coaching the special teams and wide receivers.
He is a 2013 Graduate of Central Florida University earning a Bachelors Degree in Sports and Fitness.
Jeri Petite Jr.
Assistant Coach, Offensive Line
Assistant Coach Petite Jr., comes to The LHU Football staff after serving as the Offensive Line Coach and running game coordinator at Calvert Hall College High School since 2020.
Coach Petite Jr. is a 2017 graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and a Minor in Business Administration.
Michael Derasmo
Assistant Coach, Defensive Backs/Strength & Conditioning
Assistant Coach Derasmo was a member of Coach Mulrooney’s staff at Anna Maria College before coming to LHU.
As a former Linebacker himself, he coached the Linebackers in 2019 before moving to coach the Defensive Backs in the 2020 season.
Coach Derasmo holds a Master’s of Science Degree in Coaching & Sports Education from West Virginia University.
